Managing Shared Reporting Server

The Shared Reporting Server allows multiple ViewerFX clients to share a common report repository. It allows administrators to load reports into a centralized location to be consumed by their users. Data source connection settings and parameter inputs can be defaulted so reports are accessed quicker and more securely.

To manage the connection to the Shared Reporting Server:

  • Click the Tools button Tools button from the standard toolbar.
  • The list manager will appear.

  • Click the Connections slide menu from the list manager.
  • Click the Shared Database icon from the list manager.
  • Enter the data source connection settings for the Shared Reporting Server (You must have installed the Shared Reporting Server for this to have any effect).
  • Click OK. The Shared Reporting Server folders will appear in the Favorites Center.
