Transferring a license to a new computer
You can move a ViewerFX for Crystal Reports license to a replacement computer. Transfer works on the honor system: contact Origin Software support, and Origin updates the license count on its server so the software can be activated on the new machine.
To transfer a license:
- Contact Origin Software support with your license details.
- Origin updates the license count on the licensing server so the software can be activated on the replacement computer.
- Install ViewerFX on the new computer and activate it — see Activating the product.
- Remove ViewerFX from the old computer (see Repair and remove). There is no technical verification that the old installation was removed — you are responsible for removing it.
Note: A license’s scope is set by its edition — Standard licenses are per-seat, Site licenses cover one organization or site. See ViewerFX editions.
