About report distribution

Publishing means making reports and documents publicly available. The content of these reports can be distributed automatically by email or FTP. Content can also be saved to disk for viewing, archiving, retrieving, and scheduling.

The roles of the report designer (the person who creates the report) and the publisher (the person who schedules and distributes the reports) are often filled by the same person. However, this is not always the case.
